When planning a move with children, you should also plan to tell them early on. It’s normal for kids to have a strong reaction to moving, but having an open dialog offers the opportunity for kids to ask questions. Be sure to acknowledge their emotions and respond with empathy to help them feel heard. It’s also advised to get your kids involved in the moving process- this can include things like deciding the color of their new room.
