Albino Animals That Don’t Need Color To Look Beautiful
Animals come in a wide variety of colors, from brown or black to bright blue or fire orange. Since most animals are doted or stripped in striking colors, it is rather majestic to see an all-white albino animal stalking through the forest.
Albinism includes a number of genetic pigmentation disorders, in which the skin or fur is white or pink; in some cases it also causes reddish eyes. Albinism has been linked to poor eyesight and higher skin cancer rates, but otherwise albino animals (and humans) are exactly the same as everyone else.
Leucism is a similar condition to albinism that impacts some members of the animal kingdom. Leucism only includes partial loss of pigmentation and causes pale white patches to form. Leucism is caused by a reduction in multiple types of pigment, not just melanin.
In nature, what is different is all the more beautiful, making the all-white animals on this list some of the most gorgeous creatures in the world.
